bios setup is the most inexpensive one.

well you can just put a password on your user account. When you log on it'll ask you for a password. But if you wanted one before the computer boots, which i dont really see the point, you can set one up through your BIOS (depends on your bios version)

if you have windows, you can set a password by going into control panel then users and choose the name that you want to password protect. Another way to put a password is in the computer is booting up in the bios. Restart you pc and by press f2, f10 or f12 depending on your computer, then go to security and add a password.
