HP Touchscreen Notebook Computer [aboutcomputer99.blogspot.com]

From personal digital assistant ( PDAs), satellite navigation devices, mobile phones, and video games, touchscreens have also been developed in the case of laptops. Being capable of detecting the presence and location of a touch within the display area the touchscreens are starting being very popular on many devices. Is this the future of laptops? For some users this may be the ideal product. In this article we will present one of the newest HP Touchscreen laptop, the TouchSmart tx2z.

HP's TouchScreen tx2z laptop isn't the first laptops to offer multi-touch functionality, but it is among the most popular because of the valuable features it combines and the reasonable starting price of $ 1,149. No need to use laptop's touchpad or an external mouse, because everything you want to control is on the screen and you will only need to press or move the items you want.

The HP's new MediaSmart software allows you to use your fingertips for making a command to a file or documents. The number of multi-touch gestures can be quite large because of the numerous possible motions. The tx2z' touch display is certainly brighter than its predecessor, and it also offers the possibility to go a lot of multi-touch gestures on it.

Concerning the size and weight, the dimensions of the body are 12.1 x 8.8 x 1.5-inch and it's portable enough to enable you to put it in a small bag. It has finish imprint in a silvery bubble-like pattern that should appeal most to teenagers and students. The screen is a 12.1" WXGA High-Definition HP LED BrightView (1280x800) and it has of course an Integrated Touch-screen. It comes equipped with a small and light six-cell battery. The tx2z is dark blue with a matching keyboard, deck, and palm rest.

As for the touchpad it has a thin strip on the right side that can be useful when scrolling through windows. Regarding the graphics, the TX2 uses an ATI Radeon HD 3200, an integrated chipset that should be limited to 3D applications. And given that the hardware is the same as our tx2000z, the 56WH battery should last between 3.5 to 4 hours of battery life.

Other features include: an AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM-86 (2.4 GHz), # 4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm), ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics with 64MB Display Cache Memory, 400GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive, Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth and also 5-in-1 digital media reader.

HP's TouchSmart tz2z Touch Screen laptop is a laptop such as Omnibook XE3 and Pavilion ZV6000(Hp zv6000 battery) that makes the difference when it comes to design. Although, it may seem strange consider it a bargain when it costs more than $ 1,200, but if we where to compare it with similar products available on the market it may be well worth the price. It is a laptop targeting students and people interested in buying the latest gadget with the new technology. With this product HP has opened the road to outside developers, and it won't be long before a software update can enable new multi-touch gestures.

Question by : touchscreen computers? hey, i was thinking of buying a touchscreen laptop for classes. my question is, my professors use powerpoints as a teaching tool. can i open up powerpoint slides on my touchscreen and actually write notes on the powerpoint slides? and draw anything i want on the slides? full control? like i would with printed slides and a pen? thanks. Best answer for touchscreen computers?:

Answer by Bob
You should be able to with the Microsoft XP Tablet edition, other wise your pen acts as a mouse, so basically click the button to write and just press down and draw, so either way you should be able to use it as pen and paper, and in a few months (October rumored) when windows 7 comes out, there will be even more support for touchscreen.
