Why a Custom Built Computer is Better [aboutcomputer99.blogspot.com]

prerequisite anymore in determining what you need in a custom build computer. The sky's the limit when it comes to building a computer that caters specifically to your needs.

The most obvious appeal of a custom-built computer system is the price. Contrary to popular assumption, picking out the parts you want in your computer will cost less compared to buying a pre-built, brand name computer. Of course, you'll need to know the exact components you want in the computer for this concept to work out and in order not to waste time on the assembly.

Another aspect of customized computers that is appealing is, because you're responsible for the selection of parts, you tend to pick higher quality components which will last longer. As such, it's easier to find replacement parts for a custom build computer should you require them. Because the computer has been built to your specifications, parts can be purchased from a variety of vendors and your choices aren't confin ed to just one manufacturer as well. Best of all, each of these parts comes with their own warranties.

With pre-built computer systems, the customer receives one to two years of limited warranty. This means that should any component require repair, it will involve sending the entire unit to the manufacturer. This costs more time and money compared to repairs for a custom-built computer system. With a customized computer, you won't have to suffer the stress of making your way through an unhelpful helpline either.

Should a repair job be beyond your do-it-yourself capabilities, it's easy to obtain assistance from virtually anywhere to repair your custom build computer. Not only are the components in the system universal and most times interchangeable, there are any number of computer casings and modifications at your disposal. Again, the computer is built just for you, so you're certainly not going to buy parts that wear out after a while just to keep the price down .

Getting a custom-made computer may take slightly more time to assemble compared to picking one from a store, but the benefits definitely outweigh that slight drawback.
