Start by uninstalling any programs you no longer use. Burn any data files, images, videos etc. you rarely use to CD or DVD. you should be doing this as part of your back-up routine anyway. Both of the above will leave more room on your hard drive, which can make the computer run better. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup and run the programs there. cc cleaner just type in search, also I would say it may clean it up I use it everyday the register thing also and just delet temp, but I dont know if its speeds it up.
