Linux cloud computing is renowned among the world of Internet business since they provide high performance computing power so that the business oriented applications can run rapidly. Thus you would find most of the businesses are opting for Linux cloud computing. In cloud networks you would find a group of servers having specialized Internet connections so that the processing of data is smoothly run across all the servers. The power of cloud computing is maximized with the help of virtualization techniques and also with the linking of large pools of systems.
Linux cloud computing is ideal for you if your company deals with large quantities of data. With the help of cloud computing there will be faster processing of information and the information can be accessed from anywhere around the world.

Another benefit of Linux cloud computing is that in this environment you can develop as well as deploy and also manage the applications and also scale up and down the website. Also this is a technology which is extremely cost efficient as here you would need to pay only for the resources that are used by you. Also here you can update the system quickly and can manage the security efficiently.

In Linux cloud computing you would get various features that would ensure that you create the best server so that your needs are all met. Also the support for the Linux operating system depends on the level of management that is provided by the hosting provider. The management of all the updates such as security patches, service packs, application updates and so on would be done by the hosting service provider.

Question by GLaDOS: Is it possible to link multiple linux based computers in a network into one to form one powerful computer? I heard a while ago that you can actually link multiple linux based computers together to form one powerful one. Any ideas? Best answer for Is it possible to link multiple linux based computers in a network into one to form one powerful computer?:

Answer by banjoman
I work for a company that has done just this. more than 400 cheap linux computers linked together into one supercluster that is as powerful as our Cray Y-MP. It's fairly easy to do. I forget the name of the software that allows this linkage to happen.

Answer by qgqlochekone
yes, theres are tre forms, clustering (by soft), clustering hardware distribuit, and the OS distribuit. linux its a OS based on one like the OS distribuit, but not focused on it, then clustering its the best way for it, but if u wan a real distribued enviorement, OS and machines specialy for this are too expensive, its better clustering. in debian or venenux are a lot of packages with info and programs for clustering in software, clustering on hardware are not use too much today cos its expensive. search at http://qgqlochekone.blogspot.com for more linux issues..

by clustering on software, take debian distro like, venenux or etch on debian site, and read abouit, remenber, in linux always must read before doit any thin!

Clustering / Cloud computing is not an easy task - but it's achievable. It also depends on what the task you want to achieve. Clustering is usually done to batch huge processing jobs that would otherwise take weeks or months. Some examples: Render farms - thousands of linux processing computers rendering 3D images to form a movie (think Shrek or the like) Compile farms - same, but used to compile huge applications - like video games. usually dist-cc is used. If you simply want a "super computer", then this isn't the way to go.
