For exa mple, you will need to be aware of where you are saving your files so they can be backed up easily. This is part of computer maintenance and you cannot avoid it.

Can I do my own computer maintenance?

Yes you can! Once you have performed PC maintenance a few times it is very easy. It is just a simple matter of getting into a routine and sticking to it. Hi. If you want to speed your computer up, don't use Norton. It is very slow and is a huge program. Use AVG or Avast! instead. Anyway, to clean your computer up, I would recommend CCleaner slim and Auslogics Boostspeed. Boostspeed costs, however there are ways around that ;).

A backup on a regular schedule is highly recommended. Have a nice day!

You should have an anti-spyware program on it in addition to Norton Anti-virus. Norton is the best anti-virus, SpySweeper is the best anti-spyware. They are similar, but NOT the same. There is overlap in function, but NOT the same, so get both. Even the versions that claim to do both functions are not as good as having both programs. Another answer said backup and that is also important. Another answer advised against Norton and that is not a good idea. Norton is a bad program, but it is still better, overall, than the others.
