Question by aagman_lives: Computer diagnostics? I know that Dell and Compaq have their own little hidden diagnostic program. I was wondering if eMachines has one or not and how one could access it if it did. I have an eMachines computer that restarts itself after about 30 minutes and I'm trying to figure out why. I have cleaned the fans and ran the computer with the sides off. Best answer for Computer diagnostics?:

Could be at least two reasons I know of... 1. You might be infected with the Blaster Worm (if you see a gray message box that comes up and tells you RPC will shut down in 59 seconds). If this is what you see, then google search blaster worm and run the patches, and go get the security patch from windows update. 2. Your processor is overheating, and the computer is shutting it self down for protection.

i think its # 2 or possibly your power supply and run your comp with the case open see if all the fans are running because that will kill your computer but i had to do the same thing to mine becasue the power supply went out
