Question by Weezy: Does the screen on the Wacom Bamboo actually show your computer screen? For a Wacom graphics tablet, most of the reviews show the computer screen when drawing something. However, I'm wondering if the screen on the actual tablet itself has like a white page and will show the lines you're making. Or does the screen of the bamboo remain dark and people just have to get used to where to put the pen? In other words, does your computer screen show up on the Wacom when drawing something? Best answer for Does the screen on the Wacom Bamboo actually show your computer screen?:

Answer by davidsons08
No, its kinda of tricky to use, you just have to go by what you see on your computer screen, there isn't a screen on the Wacom drawing pad.

Answer by john k
No, the Bamboo's drawing surface is not a display screen. It is simply a black plastic surface with electronics under it that senses/detects where the pen (or stylus) is located on the surface. Now, the Wacom Cintiqs do indeed display the screen. The Cintiqs are a lot more expensive than the Bamboo. With the Bamboo, you are basically using it like a mouse to move the pointer around your existing computer display. When you use a standard mouse you don't look at the mouse do you? No, you look at the screen. Well, that's how the Bamboo works...it's as straightforward as that. http://www.wacom.com/bamboo/bamboo_pen_touch.php http://www.wacom.com/cintiq/cintiq-21ux.php

Answer by Mackenzie
No, sorry. The only wacom tablet range that I know of that does show the computer screen is the cintiq range. I have a Bamboo Pen and Touch and I personally found it quite easy to use when I first got it but everyone is different. For some people, it takes longer but if you do some drawing exercises every day, it will become very more natural in a very short time. Some exercises that you can try include: drawing circles (as neat as possible), straight lines (as straight as possible), asterixes (try to get each line around the same length) Good luck :D
