Tools > Internet Options > Delete Browsing History > Delete Everything. If your using Firefox just go to Tools and click "Clear Private Data". If your not using Firefox I recommend getting it (you can even set it up so it clears the cache every time you close the browser!). If your really concerned about privacy, there are still traces of your online activity stored in the registry and "index.dat" files that cannot be removed from within your browser. CCleaner will remove these "index.dat" files making future recovery very difficult. CCleaner is free and removes all traces of your online activities (highly recommended).

Clear your browser cache and your browser history. Now this will appear as strange if your family knows what they are looking for as it will have no history. If you really want to do it on the down low you will have to go into the cached files and clear the site data and cookies. Going into the history is harder so I would suggest just deleting it and going to the sites so they are in memory that your family typically uses like yahoo mail or whatever then they are there.

Get an evidence eraser, this is the only way you can permanently delete the data. Make sure the cleaner is endorsed by U.S. department of defense as a secure delete program. If not someone at your job can use a recovery program to get the sup posedly deleted data. Ccleaner is not a secure delete software. It has a free recovery program that can undelete everything. Check out the page below for a good comparison of evidence erasers. Hope this helps! http://www.delete-computer-history.com/best-internet-privacy-software.html
