I needed to have a buddy and me both talking on our headset/microphones at the same time so we could record a video and podcast. We needed to be able to plug in either two USB microphones or one USB and one analog. Found this great software to help: www.kreatives.org (Kristal) Allows two or more microphones to be plugged in a the same time and record on separate audio tracks. Then the volume of each can be set independently and the file saved. Worked great...and it's free. (In a comment, I made mention of my voice over work...I typically use Audacity for those.
