a wireless monitor would lose power very quickly. it takes a lot of battery to keep a constant light on and wireless would mean it has to use a battery. if you are referring to a monitor that receives power from an outlet and wirelessly connects to a CPU, then it is probably because it is mostly pointless to create one because the wires are usually in the back behind everything and is rarely moved.

If there's one unifying factor between all current desktop displays, it's that they need some sort of wired power connection before the screen will power up. That may not be the case for much longer however, as Fujitsu showed off the world's first truly wireless display at CeBIT 2011 this morning. The 22 inch screen has neither video nor power cables connecting it to a PC. Instead it uses a wireless data and power transmission protocol known as Smart Universal Power Access (SUPA). Working on a similar principle to a Powermat or HP Touchstone, the Fujitsu wireless monitor will use magneto-induction and inductive charging to transfer both power and data to the screen. A wireless USB connection between PC and monitor will sync the two together, with the screen powered by inductive charge mats built into your work station. It will allow the user in a limited capability to move the screen around an office (providing there a re more compatible workstations available) without needing to untangle a mess of wiring first. Though only in the prototype stages at the moment, Fujitsu are looking to have a commercially avaialble model ready for B2B sale by next year. And while talks are already in place concerning implementation in public transport services such as trains and planes, they expect it to be the best part of a decade before the technology is widespread in the home. You will have to follow some steps while you are using your TV as a computer monitor.

The steps needed for converting the TV as computer monitor

You will first have to recognize the connections of input of the TV. Generally the TV has either the input of coaxial cable or RCA composite input or connector of S-video. But the modern inputs found are those of HDMI, DVI, Component Video, and VGA. You can find the types of output for your computer which are developed which are very well-suited for TV and thus it is not difficult to clip to the TV input. The S-video is becoming more common these days on the computers. After all these now you have to get t he adapter that is apt for your system connections.

A wireless adapter is a great choice even though the charges are more as it helps sidestep the cable troubles. Problem with the signal

You can be let down with the signaling on the TV after the connection is complete. As we know that the computer's signal is measured by pixels, but the signals of TV is different from that. The resolutions for the TV is also different from that of television. So you will see that about 640x480 resolutions are available. You may not be happy with the resolution that is being offered by TV but you can obviously do your work rather than not being able to do your task at all. This problem can be solved to some extent if you select a HDTV adapter but for that you will have to pay much more price and also you will need HDTV.
