Computer Renting and its Benefits [aboutcomputer99.blogspot.com]

You can rent almost anything these days, including, if you're in Japan, a robotic suit. These high-tech suits are designed to help the elderly and disabled walk more easily. The sleek, high-tech exoskeleton dubbed "Hybrid Assistive Limb", or HAL was developed by a professor from the University of Tsukuba. [Yoshiyuki Sankai, HAL Developer]: "The robot suit HAL has been developed to assist human body movement by expanding the range or amplifying the strength." The suit, which a person straps on to his or her legs, is equipped with a computer, motors, and sensors that detect electric nerve signals that are transmitted from the brain when a person tries to move his or her legs. When the sensors detect the nerve signals, the computer starts up the relevant motors to assist the person's motions. [Yuki Kojima, Demonstrator]: "When I intend to move my left leg, this machine senses the body signal from my skin and pushes me up automatically." HAL is already available to clinics and rehabilitation centers. But Sankai realized that many people do not have access to these institutions that would buy his exoskeleton suit. His answer: Rent them on a monthly basis to individual users. He hopes to have the rental business up and running in the near future with fees from about 1700 US dollars a month. Sankai also envisages a broader use of his technology. [Yoshiyuki Sankai, HAL Developer]: "I expect this machine to be used not only for medical purposes, but also for heavy duty or rescue ...

Keeping up with constant changes in computer technology is not the easiest of things to do. You spend hard earned money on buying a new computer and within a few months, it would have become obsolete. This quick depreciation of value makes it all the more frustrating. It is precisely the reason why computer rentals have become increasingly popular. You can save a lot of money when you rent a computer. There are many benefits that renting a computer can give you.

Renting is more convenient

A laptop or a notebook computer can be taken with you wherever you go because of its easy portability. While you are out on a business trip, renting a laptop computer gives you the much needed flexibility to work and keep in touch with your friends and family. Alternately, you can rent a laptop at your arrival destination by booking it with a rental company in advance.

Wide range of choices

While renting a computer, you are given the freedom to choose the specifications that you require.

Besides, rental computers always come with the latest and up-to-date software. You will be able to choose from a whole spectrum of choices, where you can choose from the ones with the most basic features to the high end ones with heavily laden features.

Extra equipment is provided

When you rent a computer, the rental company provides you with any extra equipment you may need such as webcams, sound systems, scanners, printers, light weight projectors, etc. Most new computers come with some of the latest features like Bluetooth and are Wi-Fi enabled.

Best of all, when you rent a computer you can ask for any upgrades to the computer and software at little or no extra charge.

Rental plans are flexible

Most rental companies offer flexible plans with daily, weekly or monthly rental durations. Depending on your needs, you can choose the most suitable plan. You will be asked to pay a deposit and sign a rental agreement. One of the best things about a rental plan is that you can extend or shorten the duration of your rental period if you wish without incurring any penalties for canceling.

Rent-to-own option

Renting is also an excellent option in case you plan to buy a computer but are unsure of which one to choose. By opting for rentals, you get to try different models following which you can zero in on that right system for your needs. Some rental companies also have a ‘rent-to-own' option, where you can own the product permanently after you have paid the full cost of the computer through monthly payments.

Before you rent a computer, you have to figure out the model that best meets your work or entertainment requirements. Decide whether a basic laptop will do or you need one with high end features. Do a little research to find a reliable and trustworthy rental company. You can refer to the yellow pages or browse through the internet for finding the right company.

Here: http://www.bluehippo.com/ Very expensive and wouldnt really recommend them....If I were you I would save a little money and buy a basic system from Wal-mart or somewhere I have seen base systems for sale at Wal-mart for 300 dollars..You should also try http://www.craigslist.org and check your local area..... I see computers all the time (Mac and Pcs)for under 100 dollars and although they are older systems they are fine if you are just trying to connect to the internet...that way you can save a few more dollars up for a better system.
