Question by Shifter: Are Intel RAM and AMD RAM the same? Can they be switched to Motherboards of the other kind? I'd like to take the RAM setup i have now on my Intel motherboard computer and use it on my AMD computer. These are older computers, both are designed for Windows 98. The Intel computer uses PC-1002 RAM, which im guessing is just a little bit different than PC-100 RAM? I dont know what kind of RAM the AMD motherboard uses. Go to the motherboards manufacturer website and it will list what memory the motherboard supports. Intel and AMD are differently configured.

Depending on how new the AMD computer is, it most likely wont work as that stuff is pretty ancient. It wouldnt even work on current intel motherboards (most ram nowadays can be used on both computers, but that stuff is very old)
