If you're looking to purchase PC games, almost any type of game you could ever think of, then there are many ways to go about this. Finding them all under one roof- from action to educational (and some that even I did not know existed)- can be the problem bit.

Before the Internet came into existence, computer game lovers would buy games from various places. Examples of such places would be mail order catalogues, large department type stores where they have small sections for electronics, games etc, and also specialist game stores (and many more other places). However, even with the specialist PC game shops, it was hard enough to find almost any game that was available on the market at that particular time. There was a limit to how much a shop could have in its stock, due to rental space reasons, overheads etc.

With the onset on the Internet, things have changed almost completely. The Internet has given rise to businesses that only have their presence on the Net. The savings made on shop rentals, overheads etc is passed onto purchasing a much bigger degree of stock, thereby offering a larger choice of games. This has resulted in many people to buy PC games online, mainly because of convenience and also at the same time- cost. What would have cost you say $ 50 from your local shop, would probably cost less and sometimes considerable less from an online computer games site. Also, with the wider availability of games online, one could pretty easily find an outdated game that they were interested or hunting for, or even easily research into new type pf games. This could not have been possible by visiting your local game shops or shopping mall.

There are of course a few downsides to buying online. Finally finding the game you were searching you, you discover the company is based half way round the world, or in a different State, or wherever. So, you will need to wait for your order to arrive. However, put this aside, consider how long or far you would have searched offline if you were not able to buy PC games online.

The growth of online PC games providers has been pretty huge in recent years. Unfortunately, this growth has resulted in some smaller offline game shops to close up because of being unable to compete with the bigger online sites (some have even shifted from being an offline shop to being solely online).

You'll likely need more ram, cpu, and video card. If you boost just one, it may help, but don't unbalance things too much, since a fancy part can be held back by the rest, if they're a lot weaker.

Your computer is only as fast as its slowest part. find out what that is and replace it with something better(make sure it is still compatible with the rest of your junk)

video card w/ model shader 3.0 and minimum 512mb, minimum 2 gig of ram. Make sure your PS can handle the new video card. In the end your better off get ting a new rig with quad core processor which will be outdated by end of next year.
