Interface cards. If your friend is a musician, installing an interface card with a 1/4" jack in it would be nice. With the 1/4" Jack, your friend can plug in a guitar and record using it. Give it a nice amount of RAM, as running an audio editing program could use up quite a bit of memory. Install a large capacity hard drive. As a musician your friend will be making music and hopefully lots of it. Purchase some audio editing software for your friend to install, as well as Guitar Pro 5 for composing tablature.
