Don't know about Laptops, but for me, when it come to gaming...Sony PS2...don't know about the PS3 and for the hand helds I'd say the Nintendo DS.

A self-built gaming computer is the best. Because 1) You can customize it to your specific needs, and 2) It's cheaper. And 3) It's more reliable knowing you built it yourself.

Best gaming computers are custom built. Laptops do not make good gaming machines IMO. Graphics choices are simply too limiting. Look for a local custom builder who will work with you to determine your needs and find what will work best within your budget. Or you could just contact me at norm@forbiddenjoy.com

Basically a EXCELLENT GAMING computer regardless of the brand should have at least 4GB RAM , 512mb Graphics card and AMD processor Duel Core 3.4GHz or more . There are a few other things you can add for better gaming like phyxics card and other minor things , however if a pc meets those 3 requirements then its definitely a PC ready to handle any game now and in the next 2 years.
