Question by papi_irv: How do you put pictures from the Motorola Q Global phone to the computer? I'm trying to install my pictures from the Motorola Q Global phone to the computer but whenever I try to connect the phone to my computer and I go through the installation process it tells me that my device wasn't detected. I'm using connection port Com 1 while port Com 2 and Infrared port (IR) are both not installed. Also I've tried to setup my email on the phone but I can't find the underscore button. Please give me some advice. Best answer for How do you put pictures from the Motorola Q Global phone to the computer?:

1. First you must have software installed on your computer. If you have a Mac you will have to find the software called The Missing Sync. http://www.markspace.com I believe is the website. If you have a PC then install the ActiveSync software that came on a CD in the box with your phone. If you don't have the CD or want to make sure you have the latest version of ActiveSync then visit http://www.microsoft.com. If however you have Vista then you need to use Windows Mobile Device Center. Please note that you shouldn't install ActiveSync on a Vista machine as this will cause issues. Make sure that you download Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 or the latest version from http://www.microsoft.com 2. After it is installed then you will get a Welcome to the Smartphone Sync Setup Wizard. If you do not want to sync with a full version of Microsoft Outlook then simply press Cancel to create a guest partnership. I recommend backing up your contact information on to your PC. 3. After you have created the partnership or simply pressed cancel you will see the WMDC or Activesync window. There will be an Explore button. Click the button and you will see the My Documents folder and My Windows Mobile Based device which is the root of your phones hard drive space. You should find your pictures in the My Documents folder. I would not suggest modifying any other folders in your phone as this could render your device useless. Your warranty would most likely be void by both your service provider and Motorola To set up your email you will need to start to enter your email address. When you get to where the underscore key will go press FNC/ALT then Shift/CAPS and a hidden menu will appear to show you the symbols that didn't fit on the keypad. scroll to and select the _ and it wil be entered into the email field. Good luck! Gen. Specific

Have a router between you and the internet

Some ISP (internet service providers) such as cable allow you to plug into their modem and it gives your computer a public IP address. By installing a router between your ISP modem and your computer you can not only share your internet connection but you are also protecting yourself by not publishing your IP address to the internet. Only download and install trusted software

One of the most common ways computers get viruses and malware is from software downloaded off of the internet. Certain programs downloaded from unknown sources contain viruses embedded within the program. The best way to protect yourself against this is to not download software unless it is from a site that is totally trusted.
