Computer games can provide the most advanced graphics to its players. In fact, the latest in cutting edge graphics technology is often put to good use by the latest in desktop gaming computers. However, you must have a modern computer console that has compatible hardware in order to start playing modern day computer games. And this is when it is important to read articles about Gaming Computer Reviews so as to find the best consoles available these days. Also, it is important that you find consoles that will keep on being compatible with what you are looking to remain compatible with when any game releases in the future. And because there are a lot of consoles available these days, shopping for desktop computers for gaming purposes can get confusing.
And again, this is why it is important that you read Gaming Computer Review articles so you will have an idea about the different options available to you. And then of course, you can also choose to buy individual parts of the computer yourself. This would mean building your own gaming computer from your own choice components. If you are in the market for desktop gaming computers, try to opt for specialized stores that sell these consoles or computer systems. This is because generic computer builds do not have the same capacity to show advanced graphics as more advanced computers do.
Also, these generic computer builds do not usually include a good power supply. This is why reading Gaming Computer Review articles is very important so you will know what kind of graphics card and power supply will be best for your needs. Generic builds do not have a reliable power supply and graphics card, usually. However, there are also companies that provide these kinds of computers online, too. These online companies will provide the parts that any avid gamer would need. So before you decide on your new machine, you need to study the system requirements of the latest games that you are planning to play in your desktop computer. Obviously, you should opt for a computer that exceeds the games' system requir ements.Another thing that you should glean from reading Gaming Computer Review articles is that the computer you will buy must be flexible enough to accommodate upgrades. Also remember that your motherboard will tell you the type of processor to use. Lastly, be sure that you will buy only from reputable stores and providers. This is so you can be sure about the quality of the product that you are spending your money on. After all, you don't want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a computer that will break down after a few months, right?

Sorry I missed the point for so long -- edited 2/23/06: go to http://www.google.com for your search use: Presario SR1638 Desktop just as you typed it for this question google recommends you press "enter" instead of clicking search, but, both work well. This will provide access to many reviews specific to Presario SR1638 Desktops as well as comparisons with other computers, places to buy, manufacturers website, etc. Perhaps more information than you had intended. For most google searches it is a waste of time to go to the second or more pages of a given search result. Read the blurbs on the first page and choose your 'information poison'. One can spend hours exploring all the links on the first page. The second and following pages provide more obscure references the further you go. If you are amused by the foibles of machine relevance, dig down a few pages. It is likely that google will find personal web pages with the information you want, but, since most personal web page writers are search-engine clueless you will have to dig through a lot of garbage to find them. !!!!!!!!!!! Yes, this doe not work in this case but it does well 80% of the time. 'Presario Desktop' gives lots of garbage to work on. If you were to write about your computer on your web page, would you think of using the model number many many times to improve the search engine placement of your comments? Would you add the model number to your meta-tags so the search engine can find your page more easily? Imaging how much more work the search engine could accomplish if we humans would only be more cooperative. !!!!!!!!! This addition helps about 10%, but not in this case. http://www.pricegrabber.com collects user reviews but does not have them for every product. Most are from only a few days experience and of limited value. !!!!!!!! True, but no help in this case. There is some support for the idea that Presario and SR1638 do not refer to the same item. For example: in the fine print of an add for "Compaq Presario SR1638nx-b Desktop PC Bundle" is the information "CPQ SR1638 NX-B Desktop" which does not really fall under 'Presario' according to HP. It shows up under 'Hewlett Packard OfficeMax'. Apparently this is a limited edition Presario designed to specifications provided by OfficeMax. Since OfficeMax is no longer intending to stock this item, it has become available to the "bargain market" until the current stock runs out. !!!!!!!!!! Fascinating , but what does this mean? Someone at OfficeMax had a bright idea for a computer system. Hewlett Packard agreed this bright idea might sell and the CPQ SR1638 NX-B Desktop was produced exclusively for OfficeMax distribution. The reason these computers are now entering the internet market may be nothing more than the end-of-contract inventory at either company. The user information you are looking for went to OfficeMax Stores in customer rants â" pro or con. People who buy their computer at OfficeMax are not likely to spend time on the internet (in the somewhat doubtful event they actually do spend time on the internet) commenting about their computer. They have more important / better things to do. My impression of the OfficeMax target population is 1) middle class or better 2) business-busy / spare-time-challenged. 3) possibly internet-authoring challenged -- they read but do not bother writing.
