I have photoshop and illustrator, but reckon many other sorts of graphic packages are used to make these. How on earth do you get to be that good? Lots of nice things on there. And there are, of course, MANY types of programs available to do this work, though photoshop is one that is easily accessible to the skills of an amateur. Graphic design takes a LOT of hard work and study -- and a good deal of talent. It is not something that happens overnight, of course. I remember a graphic artist I once worked with when I was doing Computer-Based Training and museum kiosk design. After about 20 years in the business, he finally ended up working with the people that did the computer-generated graphics for shows like "Walks With Dinosaurs" -- awesome work. But it was a long struggle for him, too.
