Question by averagejo53: Looking for best bargain in computer technology career, where small amount of school = high pay, ideas? I'm looking to get into some sort of computer technology career. (software engineer, website developer, database tech, etc.) What are some options that pay well enough to support my family but don't always require a lot of schooling??? Maybe just some certifications or something, instead of a full on degree. Best answer for Looking for best bargain in computer technology career, where small amount of school = high pay, ideas?:

If you go to a two year community college (where, if you're broke now...they're pretty much pay you to go) you can get a computer security or a networking degree. The cool thing about two year colleges, is that you can take most of your classes online. If you have an associates degree in netwroking or security, you can pretty much do whatever you want with computers. =) (An A+ and C+ certification might also be a good idea. Which is just a test you need to take.)

If you at one time only dreamed of owning a laptop computer instead of a desktop computer, that dream can now become a reality. Inexpensive laptops or notebook computers are now extremely common. When you shop online, you can find the best deals for high-quality laptops, but for very low prices. These days, the average cost of an inexpensive laptop is around five hundred dollars.
Ten years ago, the idea of getting a laptop computer for anything near an inexpensive price was absolutely absurd. Flipping through the pages of those giant computer shopper type magazines, the laptop with similar features to the desktop you would buy usually ended costing two times as much. It made sense. Squeezing all of that functionality into a portable package much have been an expensive challenge for manufacturers to overcome.
These days, tiny electronic devices that do a lot are the norm. With the advent of the iPod, GPS, and other small electronic devices, consumers now exp ect big things from small devices. When you compare the size of even the smallest laptop to that of a standard-size PDA, you know that the PDA can do just about the same number of things. The only real differences are the inputs and the screen size. Make that PDA a bit bigger, add a DVD drive, and now you have the functionality of a laptop. Consumers now expect inexpensive laptops because small, powerful technology is the standard these days. Why should we pay multiple thousands of dollars anymore? The answer is that we shouldn't and we no longer have to.
When buying an inexpensive laptop, you can get even more bang for your buck by shopping online at the large, trusted online retailers. They have the greatest selection, the largest amount of competition between manufacturers and smaller retailers, and as a result, the best prices. You will also feel good knowing that you went with a secure online retailer with a proven track record of customer happiness. The big onl ine retailers are so successful for a reason, and those reasons are just too good to pass up when buying an inexpensive laptop. You will definitely save more than you would in a brick and mortar store. With the internet, window shopping has never been more fun or convenient. Are you ready? Click here to start shopping for your new inexpensive laptop.
