Are you having trouble with your computer that keeps on restarting? Normally computers that act up like this every time can get too annoying particularly when you have a deadline to meet, or some important computer work you need to accomplish. You just want to get it repaired and go back to your smooth working pace. Well, the good news is, computers with restarting issues can be fixed!

When a computer restarts in the middle of your work, it means that it has encountered several errors. Commonly called as a random reboot, a computer that keeps on restarting will keep you from saving what you are working and loses it each time it reboots. That means you will have to do your computer work once again, and if restarts the third time around, that means you will have to redo your work for the third time too. This can be frustrating, you know!

A random reboot can be very hard to diagnose as there many factors that could have triggered this to happen. You need to tr oubleshoot the error first before it will be repaired. To avoid pesky situations like this, here are a few tips on how to avoid these annoying random reboots.

A random reboot takes place when your computer is over used for hours. Sometimes, your computer has to be cooled down too as heat triggers it to reboot. Just like human beings, computers need a little rest for awhile, you know. You can even run a motherboard temperature check or monitoring tool to report your CPU's temperature. This will give you an idea if your computer is overheating. Also, make sure that your CPU's fan is properly running, otherwise have it replaced. Your fans will help cool your computer.

You can disable the auto restart option to keep your computer from rebooting. This can be found at the systems settings.

Sometimes, random reboots take place when there is a virus or spyware infection in your system. So, to keep your computer at bay from such unwanted "intruders" have an anti-vir us program and anti-spyware installed.

Once your computer restarts, jot down the error code that flashes on your screen. This will help your computer technician identify the problem.

Restarts also happen when new software has been installed. Sometimes, it is not compatible with the computer's system, so be sure to check that out. Immediately uninstall the software if you verified an incompatibility issue. Have your drivers updated by your computer technician regularly. This will help in fixing the issue.

Allow your computer to breathe. Give some air by cleaning its CPU with a vacuum cleaner to get rid of the dust that has accumulated inside it.

Have your computer scanned regularly to find out if there has been a virus intrusion that triggers random reboots. You can also have registry repair software installed to perform a registry clean-up. Have your hard disk and memory diagnosed by your computer repair technician on a regular basis. You take your ca r for an annual service and yet you probably use your computer more than you car in some instances, so get it serviced regularly just like your car.
