Custom computer cases are essentially the part of a computer that protects all the smaller system parts from damage while at the same time displaying your own personal flare for everyone to see. They are manufactured with your own specific details in mind to a design that is uniquely your own.

You will have two different options when it comes to ordering a custom case. You can purchase one from one of the many businesses that specialize in this type of thing or you can choose to build one yourself. Of course, in order to build your own custom case you will need at least some knowledge of computers so if this is something you aren't very comfortable with you should probably instead find a good company to order from instead.

A custom case ca be ordered in a variety of materials including steel, plastic or even aluminum. Steel is the most common material found, however, because the price tends to be a lot less and it is very easy to work with when you want to add paint or brushed on art to your case.

Among the many options you have while designing your case are things like a plain one color paint job, airbrushed art on top of a base color or you can even have a window cut and plexiglass added so the inside components are visible from the outside.

A lot of people design their cases to portray a video game that is a favorite of theirs or even a specific character from a game or television show but you are not limited to only this. If painting the case yourself seems far to hard for you to do you can also find many sites that sell stick on decals or "skins" as they are commonly referred to. These skins come in many varieties and can include all kinds of characters and designs. Some are even removable so you can change them out when you get bored of the look which works great for keeping things new and refreshing.

No matter what kind of case you decide to go with, above all else make sure it is of good quality and v ery sturdy. Size is also important to take into consideration here because you will need to make sure your case is big enough to house all the components of your system. It is usually recommended that you actually purchase a case that is a bit bigger than what you need so you have room if you decide to do upgrades or additions at a later time.

It is of course important to get the exact design that you want but it is even more so that the case will have good functionality that will work for your own situation best. After all, the main reason for a case is so that the other parts of the system don't get destroyed. This means you should get something you really like but also ensure it works as it is suppose to as well.

When planning out your case design be sure you do so carefully and once you have done this you can begin looking for everything you need to get that design. With so many different things to choose from when it comes to case customization it should be fairly easy for you to find everything you need to get the look you want.

Answer by Ryan
If you have a hard drive that you used previously with windows 7 installed, you could use that (but your OS might crave its previous CPU and motherboard. This is what I ran into.) But if you don't, you will have to do a fresh install. :(

Answer by Josh Todd
Just buy some OEM copy of Windows 7.
