Do you think you spend too much time in front of your computer, laptop, or Blackberry? If you spend more than two hours staring at a screen you probably have a chance to get CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).

Staring at a computer screen can sooner or later give headaches and vision problems. The eyes are not meant to focus on one thing for hours and hours. To maintain healthy eyesight your eyes constantly have to move in harmony, focusing on nearby and distant objects and able to relax when viewing is done. Sitting hours in front of the computer we are actually hurting out eyes.

Eventually out eyes will tell us that they don't like to do this. You will have eye strain, dry eyes, fatigue and headaches. You can even have blurred and double vision temporarily.

Most of us have no choice we have to use the computer especially at work. Unfortunately some of these people when they go home try to relax in front of the computer. So what can we do about it. What would you do if you sit in an uncomfortable position for long time? You would probably get up and walk around. Similarly your eyes need to move around too. Every 20 minutes or so you have to relax your eyes by moving them around and focusing on objects in the distance. You should also blink more often, this lubricates your eyes.

Your eyes are very important part of your body. What would you do without them? You can prevent a lot of headaches and vision problems if you take care of your eyes. With simple eye exercises you can prevent computer eye syndrome.
