When you install too much new software on your computer, you will start to begin to fill up valuable disk space. This disk space is used to operate your computer, so if it starts to fill up too quickly, then your computer starts to run very slow.

Motherboard: Abit UL-8 This memory test happens at the beginning of start-up (before Windows) I've tried to find it in my Bios & just upgraded the Bios. It seems I do not have the option to turn it off in my bios anywhere. It slows down rebooting the sytem. Any ideas? Try looking in the bios for an option like "quick boot"

it is called a POST (power on self test) you should not stop this, and I accually dont think you can.

If you don't have the BIOS option to bypass the memory test, just hit the ESC when it starts. This should skip right past it.
