buying an i7 is called an average..? xD I own only an i3.. and I think, its best suited at my gaming needs.. for an average person.. i guess. xD anywaiz.. i7 is a good cpu.. but not the lga1156 chipsets.. althou they are good cpu's :)

not many people buy this chip...but the i7990x is the fastest...an average person gets the i5 2500k which is very fast too...its around bout the same speed as the first gen i7's. The i7990x runs at 3.46ghz default...usually overclocked to around 4.3 ghz....BUT the second gen i7 2600k can have a higher overclock then a 990x...the i7 2600k starts off at 3.4 ghz and can overclock to a maximum of 5ghz.

The core i7 2700k... It has a speed of 3.6Ghz.. However this CPU can be overclocked ;) this CPU is part of Intels sandybridge line up.. You can look more into it.. How ever AMD's bulldozer had world record for speed.. Look it up on YouTube.. AMD bulldozer overclocked.. Crazy stuff
