For starters I carry around what I call "My Toolkit" on a pendrive. its always withing my reach and I have a text file inside explaining what most are used for too. Its called Windows tools n Stuff and can be used on ALL Window Platforms. I try to have the diagnostic program handy as they will dictate my course of action. Eventually you'll learn what you need to carry. for instance many customers will have a valid Windows OS but no CD/DVD so you need to keep a copy. Also a tool to record their key to return it back to pre-repair state. +Plus+ its good to have some support/related sites in memory for those answers we forget about.. Hope I helped and I linked you to the toolkit I use.. take care
