A device driver is a computer program which works as an intermediate between hardware and higher computer programs. They are essential for running of hardware devices. Without them, you would not be able to run devices such as the hard driver and audio hardware.

Sure,download the network drivers to the usb drive and install them to the laptop.Once you have the internet working get the other drivers too
