If it is your personal computer, do you know that it is your work. When I say personal computer, I mean like you bought it from the store your self and it was not given to you by anyone from your company. If you do not know it is your work, your computer has been hacked and you should get it offline ASAP, meaning take out any wires for internet and if you are using WiFi disconnect from the network. DO NOT make any online purchases or enter ANY personal information on that computer! If you have, watch your credit for identity theft. Also, you then should take it in to a computer repair place and have them fix it for you, or if you can do this, wipe out your hard drive and re-install the operating system your self. If they gave it to you saying use this as your computer, then they may do what ever they want.

If you are doing any business relate type of work on your computer or a computer they gave to you, they actually do have the right to access your computer. If the answer is no, they are violating Laws. You can turn off remote access, but they may be accessing the ones you have set for file sharing. You probably need to find where you name the computer and give it a different work group name. Almost ever computer has exactly the same standard default set up work group and it is simply called WORKGROUP. Something people are not even aware of and this actually is a security issue for computers.
