You don't need a university degree to get a computer support job. You need to be prepared to take a simple job at the bottom of the ladder and work your way up. In IT; skills and experience usually matters more than a degree. Particularly in something like support. I am now a manager in IT. I started ten years ago, doing support over the phone, in my native language. From that, I moved to 2nd line support (application support) then to programming and finally to project management. If you are going to get a university degree, then there is no need to start in support, you can then start as a programmer. Else, just get a job at an IT call centre or a computer store and work your way up from there.
