Which one will help me gain more skills in computers? Best answer for Whats the difference between computer science and computer informations systems?:

Answer by hallmanjj
Computer science is by far the better choice. You'll learn a lot about programming, computer architecture, and even a little bit about hardware. With such a degree you could work for a software or hardware giant designing new computers and applications. Information systems deals mostly with installing and maintaining business networks (i.e., being a IT service tech).

Answer by glennfabian
Computer Science is the study of engineering and principles involved in the engineering, design, development, integration and testing of computer systems at all levels (my first base course was in Machine Code programming about 25 years ago). This includes applied areas of Math and Science, Materials Engineering, Electrical and Electronics theory and Engineering, and Programming fundamentals. Computer Information Systems is the use of computers and similar devices (electronic and communications) to process and distribute information by many different means - Digital processing is just one of many forms of distribution.
