Inexpensive Laptop Computers [aboutcomputer99.blogspot.com]

Last year, David Brahen, well known veteran game developer, introduced an inexpensive mini-computer for students and tech enthusiasts known as Raspberry Pi. The ultra mini-computer that was launched in January features a 700MHz ARM11 processor ... Raspberry Pi to feature Android 4.0 ICS

In this day and age workers are often found spending time outside of the office rather than in it. Whether traveling for business or spending time enjoying the company of friends and family, it is no longer required to be in the office. However, most employees do feel the need to make themselves available whenever they are needed. Additionally, for easy access to documents without spending time and effort lugging a heavy, pricey laptop around people are discovering that inexpensive laptop computers are available to meet their needs. These inexpensive laptops offer similar capabilities to the traditional netbook without costing an inordinate amount.

The computer writing tablet may be the most ideal PC to meet this market segment's needs. A computer writing tablet, which is similar to both a laptop and tablet PC, offers touch screen capabilities with a quick folding screen that covers the keyboard, supports drawing, and eliminates the need for the keypad. These tou chscreen devices are small, portable, and readily affordable.

These new, touchscreen computers are starting to become available to the laymen. As these laptop computers continue to reside in the market, they continue to become more easily accessible and are being upgraded to have similar capabilities as other more traditional devices. Just read the specs for some of these new touchscreen laptops. One such example, the Eee PC, is a portable computer. This computer has very few noticeable differences from the common netbook. With similar screen sizes, processing capabilities, RAM, and drive space these computers are very similar to the netbook. However, the new foldable touchscreen makes these computers stand out from the netbook.

For users familiar with the touchscreens offered by the iPhone or iPod Touch, the Eee PC requires some time to get used to the different style screen. The screen is more resistant, but, after spending some time using this device users wil l discover that they enjoy the experience and are able to easily perform any computing task required of them while continuing to maintain mobility.

Regardless of your preference, whether you wish you are searching for a netbook or you wish to purchase a computer that more closely resembles a writing tablet, there are many viable options available. The Archos 9 is a tablet PC that offers the same feature set as a tablet PC with only a little less power than a netbook. This device has an 8.9" LED monitor and substantial processing power, at 1.2GHz, offering capabilities very similar to netbooks. The Archos 9 is controlled with a stylus and has side buttons which are used like a mouse, making this a very easy-to-use, user-friendly computer. However, with only a 60GB hard drive it falls short of industry standards. Despite this gap, the 5 hours of battery life and a VGA output allow this tablet PC to connect with other devices, offering significant capabilities above and b eyond what comes standard with the netbook.

The future of technology appears to be heading towards acceptance of more devices which offer touchscreen technology. Regardless of which type of device you plan to purchase, it should be possible to find an appealing tablet PC or netbook within the 500 price range. These computers are flexible and offer an affordable alternative to heavier, larger, and more expensive traditional laptops.

Go to http://www.dell.com, then from there you can custom order laptops (or desktops if you change your mind) and you can get them pretty cheap. They come through the mail though and you need to pay s&h.

If it has to be powerful, there is not a whole lot of choice. The inspiron 1420 notebook is $ 649 from dell, has a pentium dual core processor in it, memory can be increased to 2GB for $ 50, and the capacity can be increased to 160GB for $ 30. All prices USD, and brings the grand total to $ 730.

this all depends on if you want somehting new or used. If you want used you can never go wrong with ebay, this in fact where i get mine from. If you want to get something new i would recomend to go with hp over dell, acer or brands like that. Sure HP and Dell are comparable in price but you will overall get more bang for your buck with HP. Now while your looking at HP they also make Compaqs that are well the cheap HP (same software just cheaper parts)

go to www.clearanceclub.com they have refurbished laptops/electronics for a great price. refurbished doesn't mean the item is bad. most item could have been returned and stores can't sell them as new anymore so they are now consider used.

I would refer to a site called pcmag.com, all they do is evaluate computer equipment. Try also going to consumerreports.org for some great advice. After you’ve chosen one you think you’d like go to a site called epinions.com for some great user reviews. I would use them, even over the masses, as everyone has a different opinion. Although I find you can spot trends with epinions.com and narrow down some good products that way. Go to froogle.com for some great prices, I use it often. Below are a couple of articles I found that you might find interesting, good luck!
