I bought a new laptop last year that has Vista and it is lousy, I notice people are still having trouble with the Vista program When I watch the news on t.v. they all have Macs at least they do on Fox news. That will be my next buy

Hmm if you are really referring to top of the line laptops these can easily run to over $ 3000+ and if i were you, i'd rather spend on a desktop because i could match or exceed that laptop's specs and spend far less! To my knowledge laptops aren't configued with quad cores as yet so if one is looking for extreme processing power now and in the future only desktops offer this. Look for the Dell XPS 420 line or HP Pavillion if you want to go for brand name PCs. If you wish to try your hand with DIY PCs you can save in the hundreds compared to those too! if you have the money you should get Sony Vio if you wanna go cheap Dell which I have it good. I paid 1300 for mine though. Sony vio is the sexiest laptop out there (Windos OS though)

Emachine is NOT the way to go! I made the mistake of buying one that sucks. I know it is the OS, but there is no support. This thing freezes and hiccups constantly. Gateway blames Microsoft and vice-versa and nobody offers a solution. Buy a mac. Also, this is three weeks old so no refund! "You bought it sucker", is the attitude.
